VIDEO: Didi Gregorius Singles in 1st At-Bat Since Return and Yankees Rally to Take Lead on Indians

It looks like he hasn't lost a step. New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius returned to the lineup on Friday to make his season debut after being out since last year's playoffs. He got the start against the Cleveland Indians and when he came up to the plate in the second inning, he recorded a hit in his first at-bat since his return.

The vintage Didi swing for a RIP down the line! Unfortunately he tried to stretch it into a double but Indians' Tyler Naquin absolutely rocketed a throw from the warning track to gun him down.

But the inning continued. After Didi moved Gary Sanchez to third base on his single, Kendrys Morales walked and Clint Frazier drove in a run with an RBI double.

What a piece of hitting against his former team!

The Yanks took a 1-0 lead but then Morales got caught in a rundown after Gio Urshela grounded out to the pitcher. Brett Gardner then grounded out.

Nonetheless, a great start from the Bombers and fans have to be thrilled to see Didi picking up right where he left off.
