VIDEO: DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Judge Go Back-to-Back as Yankees Set MLB Home Run Record
By Ryan Flores
The New York Yankees are on a whole other level right now. During their game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Yanks set the MLB record for most consecutive games with a home run at 28, courtesy of DJ LeMahieu's leadoff solo blast.
The incredible feat was achieved on the first at-bat of the game, allowing the Yanks to focus on thrashing the Jays for the remainder of the game.
But it seems the long ball is all that as on New York's mind, as LeMahieu wasn't the only one to mash a homer. Aaron Judge got in on the fun as well, as the pair went back-to-back.
The Yankees now have 130 home runs on the year, good for fourth place in all of baseball. With Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton back in the lineup, this barrage of homers likely won't end anytime soon.
After setting the the single-season record for most home runs by a team in 2018, the Yanks are already on pace to slash that milestone in 2019, and that bar had been set without half of their sluggers in the lineup. Big things are coming this summer!
