VIDEO: DJ LeMahieu Blasts Solo Shot off Chris Sale as Yankees Take Down Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees rivalry is one of the best is professional sports. And Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu has been in Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale's head all season. Well, it looks like he's setting up shop in there, because he took Sale deep on Friday night, extending the Yankees lead to 4-1.

That homer is LeMahieu's sixth of the season. Chris Sale has had his struggles this year, posting 1-6 record and a 4.35 ERA in 2019 after a strong campaign last year. He's been solid against the Yanks, posting a 1.93 ERA in 20 appearances against New York, but it looks like his luck may have ran out facing LeMahieu.

Despite suffering an abundance of injuries, the Yankees are leading the AL East, and they've had the Red Sox number all season. New York has built a 7.5-game division lead on the Sox.
