Give DJ LeMahieu the lie detector test right now! After the New York Yankees took both games of their London Series against the Boston Red Sox, LeMahieu stated quite bluntly that he now knows his team is superior to their rivals.

And who can argue with him at this point? The Yankees hold a commanding double-digit game lead over Boston after the two-game sweep with the Tampa Bay Rays emerging as their main competition in the division. The Red Sox, as currently constructed, aren't in the same conversation.

New York overcame a two-run deficit in the seventh inning against the Red Sox on Sunday, taking advantage of a lackluster Boston bullpen. This comes just one day after scoring an absurd 17 runs on the Sox pitching staff, shining a bright light on a glaring weakness for Boston.
LeMahieu is right, there's no conversation to be had right now regarding which team is better. Sometimes honesty can come off as cocky, but this is simply not the case here.
