VIDEO: DJ LeMahieu Rips 2-Run Shot off Rays' Yonny Chirinos to Give Yankees an Early Lead
By Ryan Flores
DJ LeMahieu continues to feast at the plate.
On Monday night, LeMahieu launched a big time two-run homer off of Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Yonny Chirinos to give the New York Yankees the lead in the third inning.
LeMahieu crushed this one, as the ball traveled 410 feet at a whopping 103 mph exit velocity. DJ is now hitting .313 with 8 homers and 43 runs batted in, and has been one of the Yankees more consistent hitters.
He's been one of the few consistencies in the Yankees lineup, and he's provided the team with a veteran presence when many of the squad's older players were sidelined by injury.
