When the Yankees signed DJ LeMahieu away from the Colorado Rockies, he was expected to be a versatile middle infielder who would platoon with Troy Tulowitzki. Instead of that, LeMahieu has blossomed into their leadoff hitter and an indispensable member of the team. The utility-man continued his scintillating 2019 with a three-run home run off of Toronto Blue Jays reliever Derek Law to give the Yankees a 7-4 lead north of the border.

Despite playing in Colorado for seven years, LeMahieu had only hit more than 10 home runs twice in his career. He's well on his way towards another double-digit bomb campaign.
That newfound power stroke, which has a habit of cropping up in clutch situations where they need him, is a major plus for the Yankees.
