Scenes at Minute Maid Park! The Astros were looking to shut the door on the Yankees in Game 6 of the ALCS, deploying the American League saves leader Roberto Osuna to seal the deal and send the 'Stros to the World Series. Well, he had to get three outs against the toughest lineup in baseball in order to do so, and with one out and Gio Urshela on base, DJ LeMahieu came to the plate. And the Yankee leadoff hitter showed why he's absolutely earned his pinstripes.
Tie ball game. LeMahieu parked the ball just inches out of George Springer's reach and into the seats in right field, knotting up the game at 4-4.
In what may be one of the most clutch pieces of hitting in Yankee history, LeMahieu has given the team new life, and Osuna has blown the save.
