VIDEO: Dodgers and Cubs Minor Leaguers Combine for Utterly Absurd Diving and Leaping Play at First

The night is young, but it would appear we have already found our highlight-reel for Wednesday's evening slate of baseball games. And no, it's not from a big league tilt -- it comes from a clash between the Triple-A affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. Oklahoma City Dodgers pitcher Logan Bawcom literally laid his body on the line to shovel a ground ball up the first base line with his glove for a mind-boggling out. While all that was taking place, Donnie Dewees of the Iowa Cubs pulled off an impressive leap to evade the vulnerable and diving Bawcom. You truly have to witness the play in slow-mo to appreciate its absurdity.

It's almost as if Bawcom trusted Dewees, who was in a dead sprint to beat out the grounder, to not trample him!

What a play on both ends.
