VIDEO: Dodgers Reliever Pedro Baez Leaves Game After Taking 103 MPH Liner to Knee
By Scott Rogust
A scary situation down in Tampa Bay. Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Pedro Baez was on the mound, facing off against Rays shortstop Willy Adames. At the end of the sequence, Adames hit a liner, which drilled Baez straight on his right knee, which looked and sounded painful.
Baez hit the ground instantly, and once he got up on his feet, it took two men to help him walk off the field. Baez was immediately replaced by Scott Alexander.
We will keep you posted once the Dodgers release an update on Baez's status.
