VIDEO: Dodgers Slugger Max Muncy Leaves Game After Getting Hit on Wrist With Fastball
By Thomas Carannante
The Dodgers are atop the National League and Max Muncy has been a big reason for their success, which makes this news even more tough for LA fans. In their series finale against the San Diego Padres, Muncy was hit on the wrist with a fastball and left the game. He was replaced by Jedd Gyorko immediately after.
His face says it all. The slugger is definitely fed up with getting hit by pitches, especially against the division-rival Padres.
We smell a bean bag coming for one of the Pads' hitters in the near future.
It's shame if Muncy were to suffer a significant injury this late in the season, which has been a career year for him. The 2019 season marked his first All-Star selection, he's logged a career-high 87 RBI, and was just two homers away from matching his high of 35 last year.
Stay tuned for updates on his status.
