VIDEO: Dodgers Star Cody Bellinger Reclaims MLB Home Run Lead With 44rd of the Year
By Karl Rasmussen
The MLB home run race is going to go right down the wire, as the top sluggers continue to add to their tally virtually every night. When Christian Yelich launched No. 43 against the Astros on Monday, Cody Bellinger decided to reclaim the lead as his own. He belted No. 44 against the Rockies in the midst of a Dodgers barrage of long balls-- his was their seventh of the game.
If we've learned anything about Belli in 2019, it's that he doesn't like to share. So he was certainly not content sharing the home run lead with Yelich and Pete Alonso.
With one swing of the bat, Bellinger is back on top, and this one was just as electric as the previous 43.
