VIDEO: Dolphins Win Second Consecutive Game After Clutch Last-Second Stop to Stun Colts
By Scott Rogust
Remember when the Miami Dolphins appeared to be destined to go 0-16 this season? Well, that's been thrown out the proverbial window. After defeating the rival New York Jets last week for win No. 1, the Dolphins hit the road and took advantage of a Brian Hoyer-led Indianapolis Colts team on Sunday.
Holding a 16-12 lead late into the fourth quarter, it all came down to one final play for the Colts. In a 4th and 10 situation for Indy, Hoyer hit tight end Eric Ebron, but thanks to a clutch stop by Dolphins corner Nik Needham, Indianapolis fell two yards short of the line of gain. As a result, the Colts turned the ball over on downs, giving Miami its second win of the season.
Of course, if Adam Vinatieri had hit an extra point earlier in the game, Indianapolis could've tried a game-winning field goal instead.
Just like that, the Dolphins are on a two-game winning streak and the Colts are on a heartbreaking two-game losing streak.
