VIDEO: Dolphins WR Preston Williams Completely Bails Out Josh Rosen With Incredible Catch
By Jerry Trotta
If there's one parallel amongst young quarterbacks it's that they oft try to make something out of nothing...especially in a collapsing pocket. Throwing the ball away or taking a sack is (obviously) more sensible than giving a defender a chance to snag an interception. Well, that was exactly the case with Josh Rosen Thursday night against the Falcons in Week 1 of the preseason. Luckily for the Dolphins, however, wideout Preston Williams came back to relieve his QB of an embarrassing blunder in his first game with his new team.
Throwing the ball up for grabs as a defensive lineman drags you to the turf? Yikes. Rosen may be a young gun-slinger, but even he's experienced enough to know that's a BIG no-no.
Fortunately Williams was there to bail him out, and he added a bit of flair to the preseason showcase as well.
