VIDEO: Drew Brees Already Throwing a Football 2 Weeks After Thumb Surgery Should Pump up Saints Fans

Drew Brees might not be human after all. Just two weeks after seeing a thumb specialist and opting for surgery, which is supposed to keep him out a minimum of six weeks, the future Hall of Fame QB was seen throwing short passes on a practice field. This feat, we should mention, is NOT normal.

The Saints have surprisingly been just fine in Brees' absence, relying on their well-rounded defense and the steady play of backup QB Teddy Bridgewater, who has led New Orleans to wins over both the Seahawks and Cowboys.

Suddenly, a team that was merely expected to hold on to some level of NFC South relevance without their Super Bowl-winning QB is suddenly in prime position to take a stranglehold of the division altogether.

Bridgewater signed with the Saints just a season after his horrific injury with the hope of getting to learn behind Brees and perhaps earn an opportunity down the road. Safe to say he'll have a market regardless of how fast the Purdue product comes back, but that could be sooner rather than later.
