Miles Sanders is having a solid rookie season for the Philadelphia Eagles. While the running back is in a timeshare with Jordan Howard, Sanders is still finding ways to contribute to the team. He wasn't able to turn the tides in the Eagles' awful 38-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but he did have a fantastic block on Vikings defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo. Early on it's looking like Sanders is a complete back.

Sanders hit Odenigbo with a chip block on this play in his pursuit to protect Carson Wentz, and it worked out pretty well for the 5-foot-11, 211-pound rookie.
Perhaps this is why Sanders has been seeing so much action as the Eagles' passing down running back. The combination of his blocking and pass-catching skills is why head coach Doug Pederson values him so much.

So far this season, Sanders has rushed for only 199 yards on 57 attempts, averaging 3.5 yards per carry. However, he has 16 receptions for 219 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles match up against the Cowboys in a divisional battle between the two top teams in the NFC East, both of whom are 3-3. If Pederson wants to guarantee a win against the Dallas, he might consider getting the ball to Sanders out of the backfield more consistently.
