VIDEO: Edwin Encarnacion Crushes Mammoth Solo Shot in 2nd Inning to Even Score Against Rays
By Scott Rogust
The New York Yankees received slugger Edwin Encarnacion at a relative discount, and after a rough start to his tenure in the Bronx, he's really heated up as of late. On Monday night, Encarnacion hit two home runs against the Tampa Bay Rays. Less than 24 hours later, E5 hit another homer against the Rays, a solo shot in the second inning off starter Ryne Stanek to tie things up at 1-1.
The ball flew 435 feet into the left field stands on a 112 mph exit velocity, both team records.
Encarnacion is heating up at the right time, and Yankee fans are getting more accustomed to seeing the parrot come out for a walk.
