VIDEO: Edwin Encarnación Extends Yankees' Lead Over Tigers With Booming 2-Run Blast
By Parker White

The New York Yankees grabbed an early lead after Luke Voit went bridge in the first inning, and it was another first base slugger, Edwin Encarnación, who extended the lead with a two-run homer of his own. If these two, both of whom came off the IL recently, can do this with regularity, watch out for this Yankee offense come October.

I understand they are facing the Detroit Tigers, who might be the worst team in baseball, but Matthew Boyd is not a pitcher to look past. And even so, Encarnación hit a laser down the left field line.
Better not throw a heater up in the zone to Eddy.
Edwin Encarnación hit #278 for the Yankees. This has been your Dingers of the Day update.

Encarnación has missed some time, but that was his 34th homer of the season. Even with the ball being juiced, that's a lot of long balls in just over 100 games.
