VIDEO: Eloy Jimenez Erupts With His 17th Home Run to Give White Sox the Lead
By Jerry Trotta
This Eloy Jimenez kid is pretty good at baseball. The 22-year-old rookie has made a profound impact for the Chicago White Sox during his first three months in the big leagues, belting 16 home runs to go with 38 RBI thus far in 2019. And the young phenom was up to more of the same against the Oakland Athletics on Sunday, crushing a solo shot to DEEP left center to break a 1-1 deadlock in the top of the seventh inning.
Make that 17 home runs on the season for Eloy.
We can't be certain but it sure seems like none of Jimenez's big fly's this season have been cheap shots. When the left fielder elects to leave the ballpark he is almost guaranteed to treat fans with monstrous moon shots.
