VIDEO: Emmanuel Sanders Looks Surprisingly Sharp Despite Tearing His Achilles Just 7 Months Ago
By Michael Luciano
While many feared this was the end for Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders after he tore his Achilles last season, all the explosiveness we know and love looks to still be there. In a recent video of him working out, Sanders' lateral mobility and explosion, the two things Achilles tears can sap dry, look to be totally intact.
Sanders recorded 868 yards and four touchdowns last season. For only playing 12 games and having Case Keenum as your quarterback, that's pretty impressive.
His injury in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals was transformative for their offense. With rookies Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton as the top receivers, the Broncos offense sputtered.
Anytime the word Achilles is mentioned in sports, a collective sigh is let out, as this injury has been career-altering for nearly everyone involved. However, Sanders appears to have taken the injury in stride and gotten back to nearly 100 percent.
While Joe Flacco is sure to make a dent in his numbers, at least Broncos fans will get to see their No. 10 on the field once again.
