VIDEO: ESPN Shows Us Aaron Boone's Pitch-Perfect A-Rod Impression on Sunday Night Baseball
By Adam Weinrib

What a gift from the archives! ESPN knew they had to entertain the masses during Yankees-Sox on Sunday night, and they brought out the big guns mid-game. In case you weren't aware that Yanks skipper Aaron Boone had a penchant for imitating batting stances during his days in the booth with the Worldwide Leader. Turns out, he had an exceptional A-Rod impersonation to unleash, and ESPN blessed us with the split-screen this week.

Boone's become known for his vocalizations this year, shouting expletives at the top of his lungs against the league's youngest umpires. But it turns out he's got plenty to offer in terms of physicality, too.
We know Boone's got a wide variety of these impressions to offer, and we'd love ESPN to continue to open up the archives. Come on! Plenty of gold in there from one of 2019's breakout managers.
It's hard to believe that it's been 12 and 9 years, respectively, since I hit my 500th and 600th home runs, both of which occurred on Aug. 4. On both occasions, I was struggling before reaching those milestones when Derek Jeter gave me a tip to help me.... pic.twitter.com/gfPEvFlMup

Of course, in one of the most ridiculous all-time truths, it was actually Rodriguez who replaced Boone in the Yankees' lineup back in '04. Now, Rod replaced Boonie in the booth. Wild!
