VIDEO: Footage of Seahawks DT Malik McDowell Fighting Police Officer After Being Tased Emerges
By Parker White

Back in February during a routine traffic stop, now-former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Malik McDowell was pulled over for speeding that resulted in him spinning out on the road. The police officer ordered McDowell to stay seated, but he disobeyed the order and went inside a nearby gas station. That's when all hell broke lose, as McDowell was tased amid a brawl on the gas station floor. That would stun most people, but the 300-pound lineman continued to fight with the officer in question. And now, thanks to TMZ, video footage of the altercation has emerged.

McDowell was eventually charged with 2 counts of felony assaulting and resisting.https://t.co/QFHA2x27uj pic.twitter.com/Nqcxy8ww7C
As you can see from the video, the officer continually told McDowell to stand down, and at one point told him to get on his stomach, warning him he'd be tased if he didn't comply.
McDowell refused.

The two wrestled around on the gas station floor until backup officers arrived and broke the scrum apart.
McDowell ended up being charged with two counts of felony assaulting and resisting, one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated, and one misdemeanor count for driving with a suspended license.
McDowell's BAC was .189, which is two times the legal limit. This video certainly helps explain further why the 2017 second-rounder out of Michigan State is no longer a rostered member of the Seattle Seahawks.
