VIDEO: Former Spur Richard Jefferson Goes All in on San Antonio and Calls the Entire City a Dump
By Michael Luciano
Apparently the River Walk and the Alamo are not enough for former NBA star Richard Jefferson. Despite playing for a playing in San Antonio for 2.5 seasons as a member of the Spurs, Jefferson wasn't to keen on life in the Lone Star State, as he shredded the city, which he called "a dump".
"San Antonio is a dump," Jefferson said. "San Antonio fans just hate me no matter how many nice things I say about them and I am really getting to the point where I am like 'Screw off'. I can only say so many positive things about you before you all keep killing me."
Yikes. San Antonio wasn't the only city that Jefferson had a vendetta for. Even though he suited up for the Bucks in 2008, Jefferson didn't have much nice to say about Milwaukee, which he dubbed "San Antonio with bad weather."
While Nets fans may love Jefferson for the heroics he provided alongside Jason Kidd and Vince Carter, the 2016 champion seems intent on ripping apart every other city he played in. Not exactly a wise strategy for someone who will have to broadcast games in those cities.
