By Ryan Giglio

Great players are supposed to lift their team up and lead them to success. On Wednesday night, Francisco Lindor's clutch gene shined for the Indians as the shortstop launched a late homer to give Cleveland the lead against the Tigers.

Lindor gave the Tribe a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth inning. After missing the start of the season with a calf issue, Lindor now has 24 home runs and a .873 OPS.
Then came Jason Kipnis, who extended Cleveland's lead in the ninth with his second solo shot of the night and 16th of the year.

The Indians will take offense from any source, especially after losing Jose Ramirez for the season. They got the 4-2 win over the Tigers and look to keep pace with the Twins in the AL Central.
