VIDEO: Francisco Lindor Forces Extra Innings Against Red Sox With Clutch Base Knock

Oh, Red Sox bullpen. Even when your best reliever is in the game, no late lead is safe. Facing Brandon Workman in the ninth inning down 6-5, Cleveland Indians star Francisco Lindor sent this game to extra innings with an RBI double that was just outside of the outstretched reach of Boston left fielder Andrew Benintendi.

The Indians have been a real bunch of cardiac kids of late, winning some of their last few games in spectacular fashion, including a game winning grand slam and walk-off home run from Carlos Santana in the same week.

Now it was Lindor's turn, and he continued to prove why the amount of middle infielders who can do it all like he can are few and far between.

Now that they're in position to steal the AL Central lead from the Minnesota Twins, the Indians have really impressed against a tough Boston team with an excellent series in all phases.
