VIDEO: Frank Gore Boxing at 36 Years Old is Wild to Watch
By Chris Russo
Frank Gore being a tank on a football field at his age is remarkable enough, but watching him go toe-to-toe in the ring is absolute insanity.
The 36-year-old Buffalo Bills running back has not only helped guide his team to a 7-3 record, but he is also throwing down with a high motor.
It's not just the punches that are impressive, either. Look at his head movement and the way he dodges the counterpunches.
He moves with such quickness that you'd probably be surprised he's a power back. If Gore were a little smaller, the speed would probably mislead you into thinking Darren Sproles was out there throwing haymakers.
Gore is also apparently a boxing fan, so while we're well aware "FOX Celebrity Boxing" was for washed-up celebs, could we please bring it back?
Gore is in his 15th year in the league. While watching him box after retirement would be a fascinating proposition, he keeps playing to a point where nobody knows if and when he'll retire anyway. He's almost like the running back equivalent of Tom Brady in that he continues to defy age.
Even this season, he's the leading rusher on a top team in the AFC. He's on pace to run for over 750 yards despite starting only seven of the team's first 10 games.
Keep up that stamina.
