VIDEO: Freak Hail Storm Hits Wrigley Field Before Cubs-Braves

If MLB pitchers aren't going to stop the red-hot Atlanta Braves from winning, then it looks like Mother Nature will have to step in to slow down Ronald Acuña, Freddie Freeman and Co. Before the Braves game against the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field was hit with a torrential hail storm.
Yes, the weather in Chicago can get a little unpredictable, but blinding, golf ball-sized hail in late June seems crazy, even for the Windy City.
Perhaps even more unusual was how brief it was. The hail only came down for 10 minutes, and was immediately followed by a bright, sunny sky and a rainbow. Apparently the weather in Chicago is even more bipolar today than it usually is.
Ironically, the Cubs were giving away free umbrellas before today's game. While most rarely end up using the things you get for free during ballpark giveaways, Cubs fans who arrived early enough could get some instant use out of their umbrellas.
Despite the weather more akin to early January than late June, the Cubs and Braves are still expected to get things started at the usual 8:05 p.m. ET start time.
