VIDEO: Freddie Kitchens' Play Calls From the Goal Line Prove the Browns Are Going Nowhere
By Michael Luciano

The Cleveland Browns came into the offseason with unreal amounts of hype, but rookie head coach Freddie Kitchens has done an excellent job of sapping all of that positivity out of the club. The Browns had a golden opportunity to jump out to an early two-score lead against the Buffalo Bills, but Kitchens managed to knee-cap his own team, failing to gain two yards on EIGHT plays. The Browns later turned it over on downs.

Kitchens, despite having a quarterback in Baker Mayfield that was cooking to start this game, decided to run the ball five times from inside the two-yard line with two of those being toss plays. With the Browns' offensive line getting obliterated, why would you keep doing that? Run it up the gut.
Browns goal-to-go sequence from the 1-yard line:

1st & goal: Incomplete pass (penalty)
1st & G: Run for -1 yard
2nd & G: Run for 1 yards
3rd & G: Incomplete pass (penalty)
1st & G: Run for 0 yards
2nd & G: Incomplete pass
3rd & G: Run for 0 yards
4th & G: Run for -2 yards
Keep in mind, Kitchens got this job because he was apparently such a genius playcaller. He can't keep running the offense if the Browns are serious about making a run.
