VIDEO: Gary Sanchez Clobbers 422-Foot 3-Run Homer off Dylan Bundy as Yankees Claim Early Lead
By Karl Rasmussen
Gary Sanchez was ice-cold over the summer, but it looks like the Yankee backstop is starting to find his groove again. In first inning against the Orioles, the Kraken clubbed a 3-run bomb off Dylan Bundy to help his team claim a 4-1 lead by the inning's end.
This has certainly been a series to forget for the O's.
Sanchez's moonshot traveled 422 feet out to straightaway center field where Stevie Wilkerson gave chase, but to no avail.
It was the 26th homer of the year for El Gary, and his 2nd in the month of August. He's starting to turn the corner from his lowly July that saw him hit the IL after slashing just .102/.172/.186 with one home run and 20 strikeouts in 14 games.
