VIDEO: Gary Sanchez Gives the Yankees Life With 2-Run Shot off Josh James
By Karl Rasmussen
Gary Sanchez's postseason has not gone the way he'd hoped, but he has a chance to make up for some of his struggles with each at-bat. And he did just that in the bottom of sixth inning, mashing a tater off Josh James to get the Yankees back in the ball game. The two-run shot reduced the deficit to three runs as the slugging backstop showcased the power that has made him a regular in the Yankees starting lineup.
Sure, Gary can be a nuisance at the plate with his frequent strikeouts, but there's no denying that he hits the baseball as hard as anyone in the league when he connects.
The Yankees are looking to crawl back into this one after chasing Zack Greinke off the mound, and hopefully this blast from El Kraken can get the rest of the bats going.
