VIDEO: Gennady Golovkin Sleeps Steve Rolls With Vicious Punch to the Face at Madison Square Garden
By Karl Rasmussen
Madison Square Garden was treated to an intense showdown between 'Triple G' Gennady Golovkin and Steve Rolls. After three hard-fought rounds, Golovkin gained an advantage in the fourth round of the fight, landing a flurry of punches on Rolls and advancing him towards the ropes. A mean jab with Triple G's vicious left hand caught Rolls right in the face, sending him out for an early night's sleep.
It was a big victory for GGG, and he did it in commanding fashion as he celebrated in the ring whilst his opponent lay dazed on the ground.
That was the 35th knockout of Golovkin's career, as he improves to 39-1-1 in his span as a boxer. Meanwhile, Rolls suffered his first loss, dipping to 19-1, with 10 career knockouts.
