The San Francisco 49ers are looking to maintain their undefeated record on Thursday night, but an early knock to a key player may make that task more difficult. George Kittle was spotted entering the medical tent in the first quarter after taking a painful-looking blow to the knee from the helmet of Chandler Jones.
Jones missed a tackle on 49ers running back Tevin Coleman and ended up crashing straight into Kittle's knee on the play who was coming in for an attempted block.
Kittle immediately went down in pain, clutching at the knee, and was eventually taken to the sideline for further examination. He entered the medical tent to be inspected by team doctors, and was later seen walking along the sideline with trainers.
The star tight end was eventually spotted on the bench, but it remains unclear if he will return to the game.
On the year, Kittle has 40 receptions for 462 yards and one touchdown.
