VIDEO: George Springer Tattoos Absolute Meatball for Home Run Against Rays
By Parker White

One of the strengths of Houston Astros leadoff man George Springer is no doubt his ability to bring instant offense in the form of a home run. We've seen him lead off games plenty of times with a long shot, but he led off the bottom of the third and absolutely tattooed this ball to tie the game against the Rays. Take a look:
Are you at work? So is George Springer, part of his job is to hit home runs... just like this one! #takeitback

Yeah, okay, he took advantage of the Crawford Boxes in left field, but it would've left the yard with normal dimensions. Statcast also tracked this homer had a launch angle of 42 degrees (that's nuts), which is second-highest launch angle of any homer since 2015.
Check out that 42 degree launch angle on this George Springer HR.

That's his 2nd-highest launch angle on any HR tracked by Statcast (since 2015). pic.twitter.com/BRbDrQ0IX3
It's gone under the radar, but Springer is having a killer month of August, as he entered the game hitting .313 with three home runs and 10 RBI this month.
Make it four and his 28th of the season.
