VIDEO: Georgia Absolutely Destroyed Whoever They're Playing in the First Half
By Jerry Trotta
It would appear that the No.3 Georgia Bulldogs are looking ahead to next weekend's highly-touted showdown against the No.7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Sanford Stadium. Why do we say that? Well, Kirby Smart's squad absolutely pummeled Arkansas State (who don't even deserve a spot in this byline) in the first half on Saturday, opening up a 34-0 lead prior to the intermission. Tailback Brian Herrien opened the scoring with a three-yard scamper early in the first quarter.
There is nothing quite like watching an offensive line manhandle their opposing front six. As easy as you like for the Bulldogs.
After two field goals from Rodrigo Blankenship, Jake Fromm hit Dominick Blaylock on a simple out route and the wideout did the rest of the work, going virtually untouched up the sideline for a 60-yard touchdown just seconds into quarter No.2.
Georgia's next score was quite similar to the last, as a designed screen play from Fromm to star RB D'Andre Swift eventually saw the Dawgs extend their lead to 28-0...48 yards later.
The Red Wolves might seriously need to look into basic tackling drills during practice next week, because WOOF.
Roughly 10 minutes later, with under a minute to go before the half, Fromm connected with wideout Lawrence Cager for a five-yard TD.
Throw the damn towel!
The Dawgs are onto Notre Dame.
