VIDEO: Georgia WR George Pickens Lays Out for Incredible Diving Catch Against Murray State
By Sam Dunn
Catch your breath, George Pickens, and then take a bow! Already sporting a 28-7 lead against the hopelessly overmatched Murray State Racers, the Georgia Bulldogs flashed some major flair to kick-start a first-half drive. With the ball at their own 20 yard line, quarterback Jake Fromm aired it out down the near sideline for receiver George Pickens, who completed a beautiful diving grab for a handsome 43-yard gainer.
They don't teach that one at the academy.
It's been all Dawgs today, as one might have assumed. A surprising 7-7 deadlock was in place after one quarter, but Kirby Smart's team exploded in the second period, taking a 42-7 lead into the halftime break. Fromm has just one incompletion on the day, while Pickens has 68 yards through the air and a touchdown. Not a bad day between the hedges so far.
