VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo Proves Baseball is Hard by Hitting in Yankees Batting Cages
By Adam Weinrib
The Greek Freak proved once and for all on Monday that his historic athletic advantages don't cross over to the bat and ball sports. Giannis Antetokounmpo, the 2019 NBA MVP and non-MLB qualifier, grabbed the lumber and tried to hack it during a visit to Yankee Stadium on Monday. It did not go well, and that's okay!
You could tell right from impact that the ringing and tingling in Antetokounmpo's hands was here to stay.
In the future, we'd recommend batting gloves, especially since these tremendous mitts are the type of body parts you'd usually insure.
The Bucks star had an otherwise pleasant visit to the stadium, it would seem, mingling with CC Sabathia and making a baseball look minuscule.
Though the league centerpiece's free agent frenzy is still two years away, expect these photos (and NOT the video footage) to be involved in the Knicks' pitch in any capacity.
