VIDEO: Giants' Mike Yastrzemski's Family Was Bummed When He Was Thrown Out on His First Career Hit

Mike Yastrzemski, the 28-year-old grandson of MLB great Carl Yastrzemski, got his long awaited first Major League hit when the Giants played the Diamondbacks on Sunday, but the euphoria his family experienced in the stands did not last long after baserunning gaffe made it a bittersweet moment.

Yastrzemksi's bloop single was quickly erased after he rounded around first a bit too far and was thrown out attempting to get back to the base -- not to mention, that slide look very painful. For his family in the stands, the cheering and applause turned to silence and disbelief in comedic fashion.

Hopefully this hit was the first of many so the outfielder's family can cheer without being interrupted next time.
