VIDEO: Gio Urshela Launches Solo Home Run off Jose Urquidy as Yankees Claw Back in Game 6
By Karl Rasmussen
The Yankees fell into a three-run deficit in the first inning after Yuli Gurriel smacked a three-run shot into the seats. Well, with both teams throwing a bullpen game, the Astros were onto their fourth pitcher by the fourth inning, bringing in Jose Urquidy to relieve the injured Ryan Pressly. Urquidy retired his first batter, but then served up a solo shot to Gio Urshela as the Yankees got their second run on the board.
Urshela's glove may be what's keeping him in the Yankees lineup this postseason, but Aaron Boone will be relieved to have stuck with his guy.
The Yankees are looking to claw back into this one and Urshela's bomb made it a one-run ball game at Minute Maid Park.
