VIDEO: Gus Johnson Butchers Jose Altuve's Name in ALDS Preview During College Football Broadcast
By Ryan Flores

Gus Johnson messed up big time. During a college football matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Michigan Wolverines, an ALDS preview aired on Fox Sports, highlighting the two postseason baseball games that will be played on Saturday night. Johnson managed to get through the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins matchup unscathed, but somehow the lead play-by-play announcer butchered Houston Astros star Jose Altuve's name when introducing the Astros tilt with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Gus, have you not heard of José Altuve? (This is uncomfortable) pic.twitter.com/AaS8n6MlGd

Altuve is an MVP, a World Series Champion, and one of the best hitters the game of baseball has to offer. It's insane that Johnson struggled at all to pronounce his name. It sounded as though he had never even heard of Altuve in his lifetime. It might be time for Gus to start watching something other than football in his free time.
