VIDEO: Ian Kinsler Appears to Scream F-Bombs at His Own Fans After Clutch Home Run
By Max Scoli
San Diego Padres infielder Ian Kinsler hit a clutch three-run homer in the sixth inning of Thursday's contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but what he did after crossing home plate was a little peculiar. We understand letting out frustration, but...directing it at the home crowd? Bold.
However, following this Ron Burgundy teleprompter tribute, Kinsler claimed that his profanity was not directed at the fans, but rather at his team in an attempt to start a rally.
"That was for my teammates," said Kinsler. "It had nothing to do with the fans. It's for my teammates. It’s an inside thing with them. I was trying to get everyone fired up. We had a tough road trip. I’m a passionate player. I tried to get my teammates going. That was it."
That's not how it looks in the video, and Padres Manager Andy Green seemed to agree, after stating the following:
“We as professionals should handle that displeasure in a more positive way than it was handled today. With (Kinsler), he knows that. He’s played the game a long time. ... Clearly not expressed well today. Ultimately, though, he’s a passionate baseball player.”

Kinsler may have let his emotions get the best of him. He even offered up a bat flip to showboat after hitting this moonshot.
The four-time MLB All-Star is only batting .175 this season. If anything, Padres are likely cussing him out, leading to this retaliation.
