VIDEO: Illinois' Alan Griffin Ejected After Stepping on Purdue Player

In the first half of the Purdue vs. Illinois basketball game, Alan Griffin stepped on the stomach of Purdue's Sasha Stefanovic after the latter fell while driving into the lane. Griffin clearly goes out of his way to plant his foot onto Stefanovic's body, and he didn't get away with it, getting ejected from the game moments later.
"That's just absolutely ridiculous, uncalled for and he should be gone."

What a completely classless move by Griffin, but we applaud the refs for booting him from the game. It turns out the team did not need Griffin anyway, as they won the ball game 79-62.
This isn't Griffin's first run-in during the Fighting Illini's basketball games. About a month ago, Griffin got into a verbal spat with Mark Smith of Missouri before being ejected.
Alan Griffin just got his second technical foul for yapping at Mark Smith at the free throw line and there was a second there where I thought Brad Underwood was going to assault Griffin as he went to the bench.

Hopefully he gets disciplined by the program before he continues to let his temper get the best of him and he gets himself thrown out of any more games.
Actions like these are simply unacceptable on a basketball court, and it's clear this was no accident.
