VIDEO: Iowa State Fumbles After Punt Returner Gets Destroyed by Own Teammate and Blows Game vs Iowa

This is about the worst way you could possible lose a rivalry game. The CyHawk trophy is officially in the hands of the Hawkeyes, but it wasn't an easy win, well not until the final moments. Iowa State, down by one point, forced a punt from the Hawkeyes with a minute and a half left to play. On the punt, the return man was trucked over BY HIS OWN TEAMMATE, resulting in a fumble which was gobbled up by the Hawkeyes.

You cannot script this if you tried! Just as he was trying to reel the catch in, the Cyclones returner's teammate runs into him at full force and knocks him off his feet.

The ball bounces off the back of No. 2 and is swiftly recovered by Iowa, who were able to milk the clock in order to take home the win.
Throughout all the lightning, hail, and fans invading the field, this is undoubtedly the strangest play to go down in this year's rivalry bout.
