VIDEO: Jackie Bradley Jr. Smacks Solo Homer Off Pesky's Pole
By Seth Carlson
Pesky's Pole certainly wasn't too pesky for Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. Saturday, was it? Batting with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning at Fenway Park against the Rays, JBJ drove a pitch deep to right field and off the foul pole for a solo home run, his fifth of the year. It put the home team on the board, cutting into Tampa's advantage.
It's been a struggle for the reigning ALCS MVP this year at the plate, but hitting a dinger in front of the home fans is a good sign moving forward.
