VIDEO: Jalen Hurts Silences All His Haters With Unreal Bomb Downfield
By Parker White
Jalen Hurts is certainly in the Heisman conversation, and a big reason why is because he's silencing his critics by throwing the football down the field like an absolute stud. I mean, check out this beautiful bomb downfield to Charleston Rambo in the first quarter:
Just a 74-yard completion on 3rd and 17 where the defense knows you have to throw. No biggy.
Remember when Hurts was a run-only quarterback at Alabama? Well, ever since Lincoln Riley got his hands on him, Hurts looks like a completely different quarterback, especially when throwing the football.
I know he hasn't faced a defense that's going to put a lot of pressure on him in the pocket, and it's not like the Big 12 is stout on that side of the football, especially compared to the SEC, but you can tell his touch and accuracy downfield has improved dramatically.
It looks like Hurts is just the latest player Riley has developed into a starting NFL quarterback.
