VIDEO: Jamaal Charles Shares Hilarious Anecdote About Being Hazed by Larry Johnson as a Rookie

It's difficult to remember that even the best NFL players were unproven rookies at one point. And with that first-year label often comes a lot of hazing from the veterans.

Just ask former Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles. Despite being a Pro Bowl level player for most of his career, he also had to endure the harassment upon entering the league. He shared a hilarious story about getting hazed by former Chiefs RB Larry Johnson.

Charles recalls a time he forgot to bring food for Johnson, provoking the veteran to throw all of Charles' clothes in the locker room shower to get drenched. In tears, the rookie called his mom and girlfriend in order to persuade him not to fight Johnson.

Charles was finally convinced against getting into an altercation with Johnson, and after giving his drenched clothing to an equipment manager, Charles revealed that he had to sit in the locker room in just a towel until his clothes dried.

After that incident, Charles made sure that Johnson always had food at the ready.

If you think Charles had it bad, fellow 2008 rookie Micheal Cox faced a far more devastating punishment from the star running back. Johnson went as far as to slash the tires on Cox's car after the rookie fullback failed to bring him a meal. Talk about tough love.

If we learned anything from Charles' anecdote, it's that even the best of players are susceptible to being hazed, and you best be damn sure not to forget Larry Johnson's dinner.
