VIDEO: Jameis Winston Ends Bucs' Season With Walk-Off Pick-6 and Hits Historically Bad Milestone
By Sam Dunn
He had to do it. He was meant to do it. It's poetic, actually, in a morbid kind of way. Yes, Jameis Winston entered Week 17 with his Buccaneers drawing dead. Even a win against the visiting Falcons would end their 2019 campaign at an anonymous 8-8. But there was more to play for -- a chance for Jameis to finish off a 30/30 season. Yes, folks, Over 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. And on the last play of Tampa Bay's season (in overtime, no less!) he delivered.
There's something horrifically beautiful about this. After all, nobody had ever thrown 30 TDs and 30 picks in one NFL regular season. Winston entered Week 17 with 31 touchdowns, but needed two interceptions against Atlanta to reach this seemingly impossible mark.
And he did it.
Sometimes, the universe sighs its magical sigh.
