VIDEO: Jameis Winston Has Laughably Bad Response to Reporter About 'Glass Half Full' Mentality
By Scott Rogust
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew a 21-7 lead on Sunday afternoon against the Seattle Seahawks. After looking to be on the path to victory in the first half, the Buccaneers imploded after halftime, resulting in their 40-34 loss. Now on a four-game losing streak, quarterback Jameis Winston was asked by a reporter if they were looking at their game against Seattle with a "glass half full" mentality. Winston, never much of the philosopher or motivational speaker, gave a rather confusing response to the question.
That's right. Winston said that the while the glass is half full with water, it's "still full with air." The Buccaneers signal caller is no Yogi Berra, that's for sure.
To Winston's credit, he had a rather admirable performance against the Seahawks, as he completed 29 of 44 pass attempts for 335 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. However, he did have a costly fumble in the fourth quarter.
While his play against the Seahawks can be viewed as a positive, his philosophical statements are a negative. But hey, it's still better than his "eating a W" pep talk.
