Jumping on an ace early is key to earning a win, especially against a star like Luis Castillo, and Jason Heyward delivered. The Cubs outfielder continued his recent hot streak at the dish, slugging his 13th home run of the season to give Chicago an early 1-0 lead over the Cincinnati Reds.

Heyward entered the game slashing a scorching .480/.480/.920 over his last 25 plate appearances with three doubles, a triple and two home runs, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.
Heyward's in the midst of his best offensive campaign during his four years with the Cubs, and it's helping them in a big way.
