VIDEO: Jason Kipnis Rips a 3-Run Blast as Indians Trounce on Astros
By Scott Rogust
Remember on Tuesday when the Cleveland Indians were mowed through by Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander? Well, the Indians got their form of retribution on Wednesday night. Cleveland held a 7-4 lead over Houston in the bottom of the sixth inning, but they really put the game out of reach when Jason Kipnis stepped into the batter's box. With runners on first and second, Kipnis sent a Colin McHugh pitch to deep right field, extending the Indians' lead to 10-4.
Oh, and that was Cleveland's third three-run homer of the game, with the others coming from Carlos Santana and Roberto Perez.
Three's Company, indeed.
