VIDEO: JD Martinez Cuts Into Rangers' Lead With Long Bomb to Center Field
By Charles Nason
After the Texas Rangers put up 4 first-inning runs, Red Sox designated hitter JD Martinez crushed a home run to cut into the lead. Martinez is batting .303, with this home run being his 13th of the season.
Martinez' dinger against the Rangers breaks a six-game drought without one, with his last coming against the Yankees on June 2.
The solo shot also puts him in a three-man tie for the team lead in home runs alongside Xander Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland.
