VIDEO: Jed Lowrie Takes Field at Mets Camp Rocking Monster Leg Brace
By Michael Luciano

The New York Mets' grand plans for 2019 were in part derailed because of an injury to offseason acquisition Jed Lowrie, who managed just seven at-bats last season. Lowrie is looking to put his lost season behind him at Mets Spring Training in Port St. Lucie, where he was seen taking infield drills with a massive knee brace.

Lowrie barely played for the Mets last season, as he had to wait until late September to make his debut. Lowrie originally went on the DL with a knee sprain, but that injury spawned a series of mysterious ailments.
Lowrie was an All-Star that set new career-highs with 23 home runs and 99 RBI during his 2018 season with the Oakland Athletics, so it's worth nursing him back to full health.

Lowrie's 2019 season was a complete wash, and his 2020 doesn't appear to be off to the best start. However, even if he is only able to pick up a handful of hits this season, it would have been an improvement on his ghastly 2019.
